On Tuesday, 29th April, the Consortium for Development Policy Research (CDPR), the International Growth Centre (IGC) in collaboration with the World Bank, and Urban Unit, Punjab, are hosting a closed-door workshop on Agenda Setting for Cities and Climate Change.
The focus of this workshop was to explore the nexus between climate change and cities and to form a consensus on practical solutions to challenges this presents, with a focus on heat islands, air pollution and urban flooding. The workshop examined the spatial vulnerabilities in cities, explored data-driven planning and governance for climate-resilient urban planning, and looked at innovative financing solutions for resilient cities.
