IGC-CDPR Workshop: Cities that Work

The Government of Punjab worked with the IGC on issues of property tax, local governments and urban service delivery and following the introduction of a new local government structure in Punjab, it was keen on learning how cross-country learnings may apply to the Pakistani context for setting the right revenue policy and administrative structures. Responding to requests by the provincial governments, IGC’s Pakistan country team has worked with IGC’s University of Oxford-based Cities that Work initiative to conduct a policymaker targeted workshop on land and property tax reform and implementation with CDPR support in collaboration with the Urban Unit.
