Public sector companies, licensed under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017, were created to enhance the effectiveness of service delivery. This project scrutinizes the performance of public sector companies by specifically focusing on two companies – the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) and the Punjab Population Innovation Fund (PPIF) and understanding how they achieved success where others did not. It examines the business models employed by PSDF and PPIF; their goals, objectives, performance metrics, and monitoring mechanisms. The project also attempts to understand the pitfalls that other companies ran into.
